Crunchy Crew Nature Meetups
Join us for a weekly nature-lovers meetup! All are welcome at this free event series. Parents or caretakers with young kids, homeschooling families, and any individuals that love nature are invited to spend quality time together in the great outdoors.
Our first series takes place at a variety of beautiful nature centers in the north suburbs. All locations have an indoor space in case of inclement weather, but we will aim to spend time outdoors when possible. Please see the schedule below and register once to attend any or all of the sessions.

We’re teaming up with Crunchy Culturist partner, Wanda Farms, for a casual meetup at the McHenry County Farm Stroll! Meet us by the Wanda farm store at 10:30am and enjoy a range of activities at this regenerative family-owned farm (kiddos welcome!).

Meet, Greet, & Eat: Picnic at the Farm
Join us for Crunchy Culture’s inaugural “Meet, Greet & Eat” picnic at the Elawa Farm park! Meet naturally-minded folks from around Chicagoland and get to know some of our local partners. Pack a picnic or grab lunch from Elawa’s farm-to-table cafe located in the farm building adjacent to the parking lot. Then gather by the picnic shelter near the park playground. This event is family-friendly. Free event; please RSVP to attend.
We planned this event to coincide with Elawa’s September farm tour. Come early for the optional farm tour at 10AM and learn about the farm’s regenerative practices and community impact. Pre-registration required directly through the farm.
Tails on the Trails Dog Meetup at Morton Arboretum
Join us for a pop-up meetup at Morton Arboretum’s Tails on the Trails dog day! Grab your four-legged best friends (or just your dog-loving self) and join us for a day of dog activities, vendors and exploring the beautiful trails at the Arboretum. This event is one of the few times in the year dogs are allowed inside.
